An outstanding tight end for the Miners in the 1970s, Dillow earned Kodak All-America honors following the 1974 season when he caught 50 passes for 786 yards and a school record eight touchdowns. He ranks among the career leaders at the position with 104 receptions and 1,402 yards receiving, while his 16 touchdown receptions set a career record at the time for a Miner wide receiver. Dillow was also named to the UMR Centennial Football team in 1993 and played two seasons of basketball for the Miners; he was part of the first Miner team to play in the NCAA Division II Tournament in 1975.
