Missouri S&T Athletics

Hug was a standout performer in the Miner swimming program, capturing 20 All-America awards and helping lead S&T to a pair of top-three finishes on the national level, including a second place finish in 2008.   He had six top-eight finishes at the 2008 NCAA Division II Championships, which included fifth place finishes individually in the 1,000- and 1,650-yard freestyle and a fourth place showing as the anchor of the 800-yard freestyle relay.   His highest national finish was a third place showing in 2007 in both the 500- and 1,000-yard freestyle.  In addition, Hug won five conference championships during his career and finished among the top three at the conference level – either individually or as part of a relay team – on 13 occasions.
