A Curator’s Teaching Professor at the university, Christensen also served as the faculty athletic representative for the institution for nine years.  He took over the post in the summer of 1991 and remained there until his retirement following the 1999-2000 academic year.  Christensen also served the MIAA as president and vice-president during his tenure as well as serving on the university’s athletic committee.  He handled his duties with the best interests of both the institution and its student-athletes in mind.
