In just two seasons in a Miner uniform, Briggs put her name all over the Miner softball record book.  Over the course of the 2007 and 2008 seasons, she batted .360 with 25 home runs and 78 runs batted in while getting 111 hits in 94 career contests.  Briggs was named to the Daktronics All-America third team and as the GLVC’s Player of the Year after a 2008 season where he batted .422 – second-best in the GLVC – and led the conference in home runs, slugging percentage and on-base percentage; the 14 home runs she belted that season was an S&T single-season record.  She was the first player in GLVC history to hit three home runs in a conference tournament game, doing so in consecutive at-bats in the 2007 tournament against Southern Indiana to help the Miners earn their first NCAA Division II Tournament berth.
