Missouri S&T Athletics

This team, the first to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, posted a historic season as it won all eight of its games by shutout, outscoring its opponents 540-0 during the year.  It is the only Miner football team to defeat the University of Missouri and was considered to be the best team in the state that year.  No national ranking systems were available at the time, but this could have been one of the top teams in the nation in 1914 as well.
