During her four-year career with the Lady Miner softball program, Alt became the most prolific hitter and base stealer in school history. She accumulated 211 career hits to set the school record, including a single-season record 80 during the 1997 season when she led NCAA Division II with 65 stolen bases. Alt stole a conference-record 152 bases in her four-year career that ran from 1995-98 in which she became the first player in Lady Miner history to finish with a batting average of better than .400, finishing with a .410 batting mark. Her .449 average in 1997 was the highest in team history at the time as were the 140 runs she scored during her career.
