Missouri S&T Athletics

Cox was one of the top pass catchers for the Miners during a period when they won an MIAA championship.  He ranked among the all-time leaders with 88 receptions for 1,319 yards and 10 touchdowns.  When the Miners won the 1977 MIAA championship, Cox won honorable mention All-America honors after catching 37 passes for 575 yards from his tight end position.  He also set a school record for receiving yards in a game with 199 against Missouri Southern in the 1977 season.
